What your screening result can tell you
Short answer
The ASRS v1.1 Screener has two screening outcomes. Four or more answers in the shaded boxes is a positive screen; fewer than four is below the screening threshold. Neither outcome establishes whether ADHD is present. The result is one limited piece of information to discuss alongside your history, concerns and daily functioning.
A positive screen
A positive screen means four or more answers fell in shaded boxes on the official form. It can be worthwhile to discuss attention and daily functioning with a qualified healthcare professional. This result cannot explain why a person answered as they did, identify a cause, or substitute for an evaluation.
Below the screening threshold
Fewer than four shaded answers puts the result below the screening threshold. It does not rule out ADHD or explain any difficulties. Six questions cannot capture every experience. If attention, organization or restlessness cause persistent problems, discussing them with a healthcare professional is reasonable regardless of this result.
Why the limitations matter
Self-report depends on memory and how a person understands their experiences. The screener covers a limited set of questions about a limited timeframe. It cannot establish a complete history or assess every setting. Sleep problems, stress and other health conditions may affect attention and activity. Difficulties can also overlap.
A clinical evaluation considers more than a screening form. A professional can ask about history and current functioning, consider other possible explanations and discuss next steps. ADHDFalcon provides educational information and is not a healthcare provider. Its assistant and paid report do not provide clinical judgments.
Preparing for a conversation
Consider writing down concrete examples from work, study, home or relationships. Note when the patterns began, where they occur, and how they affect things that matter to you. You can bring your answer grid and questions to an appointment if you choose.
The official outcome, shaded count, answer grid, explanation and next steps are available free. The optional report adds educational resources and blank reflection worksheets. It does not replace care or provide a different clinical screening outcome. You can keep private notes outside this website and delete stored answers using the control on your result page.
Frequently asked questions
Does a positive screen establish ADHD?
No. A positive screen is not a diagnosis.
Can I seek help below the threshold?
Yes. Ongoing concerns are a reason to talk with a qualified healthcare professional.
What does the optional report add?
Educational background, reflection prompts, general organization ideas and appointment-preparation worksheets. It repeats the free result.
