About the screener

What is the screener on this site?

It is an electronic version of the ASRS v1.1 adult screener, which has six questions. Its authors are Lenard Adler, MD, at NYU and Ronald C. Kessler, PhD, at Harvard. Each question asks how often something happened over the past six months, with five answer choices from Never to Very Often. © New York University and the President and Fellows of Harvard College.

Is it free?

Yes. You can take the screener and see the official screening outcome without paying, creating an account or giving an email address. The free result includes the outcome, how many of your answers fell in shaded boxes, and your answers on the official grid.

Is the result a diagnosis?

No. A screener can suggest whether a fuller evaluation might be worthwhile, but it cannot settle whether ADHD is present. Only a qualified clinician can evaluate ADHD.

What does a positive screen mean?

On this screener, four or more answers in shaded boxes count as a positive screen. It means enough of your answers landed in the shaded boxes for the screener to suggest a closer look, and that talking with a qualified healthcare professional about attention and daily functioning could be worthwhile. Stress, poor sleep, anxiety, depression and other factors can also affect your answers.

What if I am below the threshold?

Fewer than four shaded answers is below the screening threshold. It does not rule out ADHD, and it does not explain any difficulties you are having. If attention, organization or restlessness keep causing problems, talking with a healthcare professional is still reasonable.

Who runs ADHDFalcon?

ADHDFalcon is an independent educational website run by Sourdough AI LLC. It is not a healthcare provider, and no clinician has reviewed the pages on this site. The screener itself was created by the researchers named above; ADHDFalcon did not write it and does not change its questions or scoring.

The optional report

What is in the report?

The report is an optional one-time purchase of $7.95. It includes a recap of your answers, the same screening outcome you saw for free, background reading on adult ADHD from public health sources, private reflection worksheets, an appointment-preparation guide, general organization strategies and a printable weekly planner. It does not provide a diagnosis, a treatment plan or a different screening result.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Email support@adhdfalcon.com within 14 days of your purchase and ask for a refund. The report is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel.

Privacy and sharing

What do you store, and can I delete it?

Your answers and result are stored in encrypted form so the site can show your result and, if you buy it, your report. Information is kept only for a limited time, as described in the privacy policy. You can remove your answers and report at any time with the "Delete my answers and report" option on the result or report page. ADHDFalcon does not sell your information.

Can I share my result with a clinician?

Yes, and many people find it a useful starting point. You can print your result or the report, or show it on your phone. A clinician may ask you to complete their own questionnaires as part of an evaluation, so think of the screener as background, not a substitute.

I am under 18. Can I take the screener?

No. The ASRS v1.1 Screener is designed for adults 18 and older, and the site asks you to confirm your age before starting. If you are under 18 and have questions about attention, talk with a parent, guardian, school counselor or pediatrician.

The 6-question Adult Self-Report Scale-Version1.1 (ASRS-V1.1) Screener is a subset of the 18-question Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale-Version1.1 (Adult ASRSV1.1) Symptom Checklist.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account or an email address?

No. You can take the screener and see your result without either. If you choose, you can enter an email address to receive a link back to your result or report.

Can ADHDFalcon recommend a doctor or a treatment?

No. The site does not give medical advice or recommend treatments. If treatment ever becomes relevant, that is something to discuss with a clinician, and a health care provider is a sensible first contact.

What if I am in crisis?

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 in the US, or contact your local emergency number. This site is not a crisis service.
